Welcome to MyGet’s UserVoice forum! We encourage you to leave some feedback about missing features, stuff you wish for us to include in MyGet, …

  1. Support snupkg symbol packages (and pushing them to nuget.org)

Nuget.Org now supports .snupkg packages for portable PDBs, replacing the old symbols.nupkg format.

    https://blog.nuget.org/20181116/Improved-debugging-experience-with-the-NuGet-org-symbol-server-and-snupkg.html

Additionaly, since we use myget for staging prerelease packages, it would be great if pushing to an upstream source also pushed the symbol package, if present.

  2. Private Docker hub registry?

So do we want to have a private docker hub registry so that we can store our docker images? Hmm myget is great for nuget, NPM, bower and VSIX. Does docker come into play here? I can see some automation scenarios for deployments with chef to Linux or Azure but this would probably be more of a store and retrieve manually when needed. There is a paid subscription private hub with docker but it would be nice to have this all under one roof. Thoughts?

  3. API access to functionality

It would be great to have an API to automate certain tasks on MyGet!

  5. Package download statistics

In short: Google Analytics for packages

It would be grat to have a series of metrics and statistics about my feed. Where do downloads of packages come from? Which version of NuGet are they using?

  6. Delete multiple packages at once

I have just uploaded package and unfortunatelly myget downloaded about 30 depended packages, it was my mistake. I would like to remove these packages but I have to do this one by one, this will take me half an hour :(

  7. CocoaPods support

It would be great for mobile development teams to have support for Maven + CocoaPods + npm (Android + iOS + ReactNative) in one place.

Following doc explains how to set up a private Pods repo: https://guides.cocoapods.org/making/private-cocoapods.html

  8. Build Services: it should be possible to remove queued builds

Sometimes items stay queued for a long time. It would be nice to have them removed

  9. Group/role based authorisation for Google Apps

    Hi,

At the moment all permissions are assigned on per user basis which requires significant effort if you have more than a handful of users or/and a several feeds.

    • Could you rovide a way of assigning permission on per group/role basis so it is enough to assign user to a single role/group and then they get access to required resources ?

    • Could you also add ability to assign newly authenticated users to a default group/role

    Thanks

    Pawel

  10. Support bitbucket's "Deployment keys" feature

Bitbucket has a feature called "Deployment keys" which is primarily used for build services because they give read-only access to repositories, and does not count as an user license.

    https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BITBUCKET/Use+deployment+keys

This would be great for small teams that uses bitbucket's free plan for 5 users, because we don's have to create a "fake" readonly user for myget's Build service.

I know that we can use our personal accounts as authentication, but I would rather not :-)

  11. Add support for Credential Provider extension for Visual Studio 2019

Right now, we can use it for VS 2017, but VS 2019 does not seem to be available. Since we have a private NuGet feed, this will prevent us from upgrading.

  12. Delete all packages with no downloads from package history view

    Hi!
My idea for a new option on the delete button in the package history view:
I would like to be able to quickly delete all packages that have not been downloaded. At the same time I would also like to keep the latest package regardless of whether it has been downloaded or not.

  13. Show package upload progress indication

It would be nice to get a progress indication when uploading packages (especially for larger ones).

  14. Support gem distribution

I like the fact that there is now support for npm and bower packages as well. Adding support for Ruby gems would even be more awesome. Are there any plans for this?

  16. Build should succeed without any packages

A build could succeed, including tests without generating any nuget packages. I should be nice to have a check in the build properties of each project which defined if a build should succeed when a nuget package is creator or not.

  17. Read API key for a single private feed

In our enterprise we have multiple feeds that we want to keep strictly separated from each other. However, when creating a new API key the read functionality is always on all available feeds by default.

As we use these keys throughout our automation pipeline we do not want to handout a single key with read permissions on all our feeds. A possible workaround could be to create a user for each feed, provide that user with 'Can consume this feed' rights and use the API key from that user. But that's just not even viable to maintain.

    I'm sure I'm…

  18. Introduce ability to multi-selected packages

I'd like be able to highlight multiple versions of a package and then perform the same operation on all of them.
We've got a bunch of packages that were uploaded and shouldn't have been. At the moment it takes about a chunk of time to delete each one, with lots of waiting for pages to refresh. Because the delete doesn't give automatic feedback I then have to keep track of the ones I've already deleted.

  19. Ability to create "Service" users who don't have an email address and aren't linked tro an identity provider

I would like to set up user accounts for our Build Servers that publish packages and our Octopus Deploy server that needs read only access to our Package Feeds.

Currently I can't set this up as the users in question are obviously not people and don't have email addresses for them.
