Welcome to MyGet’s UserVoice forum! We encourage you to leave some feedback about missing features, stuff you wish for us to include in MyGet, …

  1. The ability to

the ability to remove packages so that only the feed owner can see it. This would be so as to keep packages (and their stats) around but not available for download

  2. Package retention by Days

I would like to be able to set a prerelease package retention policy by number of days. Typically prerelease versions are only pushed by us during a sprint, once completed they are redundant so we would like to set the retention to 30-60 days to ensure old ones are cleaned up even if we don't push new versions of a particular package id for period of time.

  3. Build Service: it should be nice to be notified (email) when no build is trigger after a push operation.

Now you only get a notification if you start a manual within 5 minutes after the last build. I would like to get an email when this is happening after a git push operation

  4. Feed endpoints clarification

I spent a while trying to fix what appeared to be a broken upload of symbols to myget. I am new to myget.

I misread the Feed Details page because the v3 and v2 endpoints are all listed in the same block and only the v2 one has a push URL.

I thought this meant that the first 4 endpoints were just for fetching packages for v3 and v2 and the 5th one ("Push Nuget packages To") was therefore for both v2 and v3.

A really small change would be to clarify with the titles that V3 uses the same…

  5. ADFS / token restriction / Credential Provider workflow support

I'm hoping that a more secure ADFS experience/workflow can be created. I would like to see a situation where an administrator can restrict token-based authentication for feed consumers and the consumers can use some sort of Nuget ADFS CredentialProvider to authenticate against the feed. (Perhaps with single-use, short-lived tokens generated by the provider?) That way when an AD account is disabled there is no need to secondarily disable a myget account.

  7. Display icons packaged within the .nupkg

    Original spec: https://github.com/NuGet/Home/wiki/Packaging-Icon-within-the-nupkg

Example of a package that has this: https://www.myget.org/feed/nettopologysuite/package/nuget/NetTopologySuite (anything with version 2.0.1-pre.181760630 or higher has this)

Note that, in the "Package History" list, packages that use this feature still show up with the generic default icon.

  8. Enterprise client management for payed packages

    hello
The scenario goes like this: An enterprise wants to have private feeds, that only customers that paid for a package can access them. Different customers need to have different credentials.

i've seen that myget enterprise only has "developer" users.

is there something already implemented that helpes to this scenario?
Clients may be hundreds for a team of 10 developers.

    thanks

  9. Option to favourite/follow a feed

I want to be able to login to myget and get a list of feeds i follow or favourite so if I need to setup my dev machine I have the public feeds ready, i dont have to search for them.

  10. Improve Azure AD integration

It would be nice if I could assign rights to Azure AD groups instead of individual users.

Also, disabling accounts if they no longer exist in Azure AD would be a big plus.

  11. Display unlisted packages grayed out

It would be nice if packages that were completely unlisted where shaded red or something to indicate that status without having to click through.

  14. enable v3 feed references for upstream nuget source feeds

Currently only v2 versions are supported for as upstream sources. We are currently reviewing a setup which does not support v2 feeds and this is a blocker...

  15. Make feed names in URLs case-insensitive.

Situation: TeamCity build definitions with project names that contain capital letters. There are build templates that use the project name variable to do all sorts of things, from pulling from GitHub through to publishing packages.

MyGet forces all feed names to be lower-case, which means that we can't use project name variables to push to a MyGet feed.

  16. Discover Build Logs

My build produces six different build logs that I would like to examine for each build. You could identify them by suffix. Mine are suffixed with diag, detailed, normal, error, summary, and warning. Or you could choose a suffix. Say anything ending in build.log. They get big so maybe you only need to retain them for a few days.

  19. Support installing Chocolatey packages during build

There are some external tools I'd like to use during my build that are distributed by chocolate.org. Do\could you support build.bat using choco to install those tools on the build machine? I'm assuming the build machines are snapshot VMs that get reverted after each build? That would also be nice to know\have documented.

  20. Attribute adding of packages to a proxy feed to user who triggers the add, not the owner

It appears that when someone adds a package to a proxied feed that I own, that it shows me as the person who added the package. Is it would be great if this was attributed to the actual user who originally caused the package to be added to the proxied feed.
