Would it make sense to make this a MyGet system user instead? The reason is some users may not have permission to add packages to a feed and it would be confusing to see they actually added a package this way.

Yes, I think that would definitely be better than attributing it to me (the owner) for sure.
My original thinking behind attributing it to the person who caused the package to be proxied was that, as the owner, I might see that package X was added and want to get some more information about how/where we were going to use that package, but I wouldn't really know who to go talk to.
Perhaps if it was attributed to a system user, but in the description said something like "...on behalf of user JoeDeveloper..." then that would be the ultimate solution?Drew Marsh shared this idea ·
